How often do you have to groom your dog professionally at a ';barber shop';?

My sisters and I are trying to persuade our parents to let us get a dog. So we have to search up LOTS of information. It's between toy poodle, westie, shih tzu, or havanese. Can you explain the grooming details for each dog? Thanks so much! Other info is also appreciated. How often do you have to groom your dog professionally at a ';barber shop';?
Firstly they are called grooming salons or something of that nature-not barber shops.

Most of those dogs require lots of grooming work.

Toy poodles-Very rigorous grooming. Since the dog doesn't have fur, but has hair the dog must be well kept. Bathing, brushing, clipping will all be done regularly. Brushing will be done daily, bathing and clipping at least every 4 to 6 weeks. Each time you visit a groomer with this breed of dog you're looking to spend 60-100 bucks per visit.

Westie-Not as much grooming. Most attention should be paid attention to the face, you should clean it every day since food can get stuck in the front whiskers of the fur coat. Normally these dogs get something similar to a puppy cut. Short and scruffy. I'm not sure for prices, it'll be less than a poodle though.

Shih Tzu-Once again, like the toy poodle-lots of grooming. Brush daily, bath and groom every 4 to 7 weeks. If you're going for the long coat you might brush them twice a day. If you get the Shih Tzu puppy cut it will be A LOT less grooming involved. It'll cost around 30-60 bucks depending where you go, how much fur is on the dog already, etc.

Havanese-The coat can be clipped short for easier care. But if you keep the coat long, it'll need to be thoroughly brush and combed at least twice a week. Show dog cuts need a great deal more grooming. There is little to no shedding, so dead hair must be removed by brushing. Check the eyes and ears regularly. Prices can range.

Other info-you can always look online or watch shows. Books from libraries-as cheesy as that sounds-provide a great deal of info. Good luck! How often do you have to groom your dog professionally at a ';barber shop';?
To keep the those dogs groomed %26amp; looking nice most of the time you need to have them groomed every 4 to 6 weeks.

If you have them shaved down to short short, Like for the summer, about every 10 weeks is about right.

If you let them grow out during the winter you will need to brush %26amp; brush %26amp; brush %26amp; brush over %26amp; over every day to keep them mat free. If you do not keep up the brushing %26amp; have to have them stripped in the spring cause they are so matted, you will be charged a mat fee.

I never groomed a Havanese so I don't know much about that one.

You might want to check out the different grooming clips of the individual dogs.
I dont take my dog to the groomers and he is a golden retriever (long hair and hard to keep clean). I clean him myself, and with it being a small dog it will be even easier to groom
I have a westie and it is every 6 to 8 weeks that he goes to a groomer. I think they are all about the same. Prices can vary from place to place.
