How to tell my barber to give me an edge up hair cut?

I've decided to grow my hair out rather then get a fade every month or so.


I just want to get an edge up but leave my hair length as it is.


How can I tell my barber that?





I don't want to say I want an edge up for some reason it sounds really ghetto no offense or anything and my barber wouldn't understand it most likely.How to tell my barber to give me an edge up hair cut?
