What would i tell the barber if i wanted her to unthicken my hair without changing the length?

or evening out my bangs. my hair goes down to my eyebrows and i want it to stay that way and i dont want them evened out. i just want it so i dont look like a have a big buldge of hair on the top of my head. like a coconut head.What would i tell the barber if i wanted her to unthicken my hair without changing the length?
Have her use thinning shears, it removes the bulk from your hair without taking away from the length...but don't use the term ';unthicken...'; It makes no sense, she'll scratch her head for 10 minutes, like I did...And more advice you probably don't want...lose the bangs, they're lame. Unless youre 2 years old and it's your first portrait in a velvet suit...What would i tell the barber if i wanted her to unthicken my hair without changing the length?
