Tiki is the perfect example of all that is wrong with a lot of todays spoiled, overpaid prima donna athletes. He retires, becomes a talking head, bad mouths Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning, and the team responds by going to the Super Bowl.

him being retirede is what helped that team get to where they are, he was a cancer in the locker room. Shockey too. Look at how Eli has done w/out them.
I don't think that the Giants would have done athat well this season with him. The things he said about Eli were a blessing in disguise. His words lit a fire under Eli's @ss.
The Giants would not have made it if Tiki Barber was still on that team.





They had a thing about it today on NFL Live, and Marcellus Wiley brought up a bunch of good points about Tiki. He said that he was a distraction, and that he was a selfish player. The Giants were less of a team then then they are now, because they would rely on Tiki to get them out of any situation. Now, they rely on each other and themselves. He also said that Tiki wasnt a very good leader, and made players feel less important than they are. He created somewhat of a heiarchy in the locker room. Michael Strahan and Amami Toomer are the team's biggest leaders, and it been said that they make everyone feel like they are a big part of the team, like Tiki didnt.





The Giants are more of a team now than they are when Tiki played for them.





And Tiki said that he had no passion for football anymore, and that his calling was elsewhere. What a load of crap, he has probably been crying himself to sleep every night since the Giants beat the Cowboys.

they wouldn't be there if he had stayed..too much distraction of tiki talking about tiki...gave Eli a chance to step up and Strahan would have had to kick tikis butt after his mouth started running when the season started slow...tiki needs a job besides being a lousy analyst also......maybe as a tiki lamp
I hope he sees how little of a positive impact he had on his team. He is a moron.

I think he's one of the resons they are there, along with Shockey's injury. The G-Men had too many self centered athletes bringing the team down.

No i dont think so, he said he was losing his passion for the sport, and didnt want to be known for just football. If he retired because of the team then i think he would feel dunb
