What are the typical hours for a barber?

How many hours do barbers works for? are they paid full-time salaried or part-time salaried? are there any physical or mental abilities needed for a barber? please explain. What are the typical hours for a barber?
the barber in our town works from 8 AM til 5 PM M-S with Wednesdays off. It's a one chair shop so he's the only one making money (after paying his overhead). Physically you need to be able to stand for long periods, have ample dexterity. You have to be licensed by the state too so there is education required along with passing a test. Check with your local cosmotology schools to find your specific state requirements. What are the typical hours for a barber?
Most barbershops in the U.S. are generally open on Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM and open on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 noon. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. As far as I know one needs to go to barbering school or beauty school and be licensed. Unless one owns their own business I would assume they are paid a wage.
