see if organizations at the local schools and colleges (band, football etc) sell advertisement space in their programs. its usually a lot cheaper than other forms of advertisment and it reaches a lot of people. free shirts also work too. give them to your customers that get unique (but good looking) haircuts and people will be impressed and come by to see what you got.
