I beileve that a hairdresser cuts more modern, harder to do and more stylish haircuts and a barber is just the guy who does a quick, easy and ok looking job. Please correct me if i am wrongWhat is the difference between a hairdresser and a barber?
the same as the difference between a janitor and a maintenance engineer. What is the difference between a hairdresser and a barber?
Hair dresser is pretty much like a person who does nothing but hair styles. They know how to color the hair to the person's taste, plus cut off dead ends etc.
Barber is one who gives haircuts to allow the looks to show off the person character. And to help the person have healthy hair as it grows.
A barber does not have to have as intense training as a hairdresser does. A barber simply cuts hair that's it, they don't wash, condition, color, add extensions, take care of damaged hair these are all things that ';hairdressers'; do but barbers don't. Hope this helps.
The difference? About $60 lol. Ok kidding. But yea, it is about more styles, different hair treatments, colouring and usually, but not always, more training.
A barber isn't licensed to do any chemical work on your hair.
