I wanna get my hair buzzed short--what do I tell the barber to make sure it looks good?

You need to decide what lenth you want it. Maybe start with a #4 so you can see how short it is. Then the barber can take off more if you want. I do not know the lengths off hand but he/she should be able to tell you. That is the one that I use in the winter. I use #2 for the summer and #3 for the winter. The first time you do this it feels really good to rub your head and feel those prickly hairs.

Just say you want your hair very short. There is a size numbers for the shaver start off with number 4 or ask her what you want.
maybe give the barber a picture so she/he knows exactly what you want
