What is the genre of the play the barber of seville? What is the style?

I need to know the genre of the barber of seville. i also need to know the style- realism, naturalism, expressionism, or absurdism.

This is for my theatre class and i have no idea. HELP!What is the genre of the play the barber of seville? What is the style?
The BARBER OF SEVILLE is NOT A PLAY... it is an OPERA... and a GRAND OPERAT at that. Actually you need to see if you can rent the movie, if there is one or get the Libretto if that's all that's available, but IT'S IN ITALIAN so I rather doube YOU COULD UNDERSTAND IT. If you have the translation to follow along with, it's not complete and it's a poor translation.. but you will get the idea of the OPERA even if you don't understand it.

Something else.. THE BARBER OF SEVILLE and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE are NOT the same OPERA, but they are very close... I doubt you or your teache could tell the difference. What is the genre of the play the barber of seville? What is the style?
It's an opera, and I'm not certain but I would guess.... expressionism?

I don't believe its absurdism or realism.
I believe that's an Oprah by Mozart.
